The Tile Press Project Wins!
By Houzz: The curbless wet-room layout in this Austin, Texas, bathroom by Pollen Architecture & Design commands attention. Deep blue-green tile in a vertical stacked pattern accentuates the height of the room and provides a moody backdrop against which the brass fixtures pop. A curvy soaking tub appears like a drop of white sunshine beneath the overhead skylight tube.
This is one of the most unique bathroom remodels that we have done in a long time. The client knew the type of tile they wanted to use and had a good grasp on the aesthetic that they were going for. After putting the client in touch with our in house designer, they were able to pull this all together!
This is the only bathroom in the house, so our client wanted it to be an oasis where they could take luxurious baths in a deep soaker tub. We made sure to get them a tub that was extra deep, so they could sink in and really enjoy the hot water. The small shower glass gives you an unobstructed view of the beautiful tile sourced directly from Clay Imports.
The gold accents add warmth to the room and pair well with the Saltillo floor and warm vanity. The vessel sink allows for more storage in the vanity as they were already pressed for space. We also installed custom-made linen cabinets with matching hardware. This bathroom turned exactly how our client had envisioned it!
We could not be more happy with how this fireplace upgrade turned out! The client wanted to use tile sourced from Clay Imports, a handmade glazed thin brick in matte and semigloss black. The vertical stack gives it a clean and classic look.
This fireplace was installed in 2019 and is the main focal point of the home.
This detail shot shows the variation in the handmade tile making it visually interesting. The different textures provide a rustic, but classic look making it a great choice for all different styles of homes.

While closely monitoring the latest news surrounding the COVID-19 virus, please know that we are aware and utilizing the recommended preventative measures. For the time being, as much as possible, we are working remotely. With current essential job sites our installers and project managers are taking the right precautions with regard to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Deposits for current projects will be safely retained for installs taking place after the Stay Home Order is lifted in Austin. We will continue providing free estimates which can be used to schedule future projects.
